CHICKEN 65







Ingredients

Chicken pieces                                     ---  1 kg
Corn Flour                                             ---  3tbsp
Maida                                                     ---  11\2 tbsp
Salt                                                          ---  to taste
Pepper pd \ chilli powder                ----  1\2 tsp
Kashmiri chilly powder                   ---   1 tb sp
Soya sauce                                           ---   2 tsp
Egg                                                        ---  1
Ginger garlic paste                          ----  1 1\2 tsp


Preparation

Marinate chicken pieces in 2 - 9 ingredients for atleast 3 hours.
Then fry in oil and serve hot.

COLD COFFEE






 Ingredients


Frozen Milk                     ----   1 glass

Sugar                                ----    1 1\2 tsp

Instant coffee powder  ----   1 tsp

Vanilla Essence               ----   2 - 3 drops

Bournvita                         ----   1 tsp


Preparation


Mix frozen milk , sugar, coffee powder, and vanilla essence in a mixer. Then pour it into a glass. Then add some Bournvita on the top of the milk.

CHICKEN BUTTER MASALA








 Ingredients

Chicken pieces                            ----  1 kg

Big Onion                                   ----  4 nos (big size)

Tomato                                        ----  4 nos (big size)

Ginger paste                                ---- 2tsp

Garlic paste                                 ----  2 tsp

Cashewnut paste                         ----  50 gm

Chilly powder                             ----  1 1\2 tbsp

Garam masala                             ----  2 tsp

Fresh cream                                ----  50 gm

Butter                                          ----  50 gm

Corriander leaves                        ----  1\2 cup

Salt                                             ----  to taste

Preparation

  • Heat oil in a pan.

  • Fry big onion and tomato till it becomes brown.

  • Add ginger paste, garlic paste, chilly powder, garam masala and a little water and cook till it becomes brown. Stir continuously.

  • Then add chicken pieces and also add salt to taste and corriander leaves, mix it well and then cook.If the chicken pieces become 3\4 cooked, add cashew nut paste and fresh cream and again cook.

  • Finally add butter  and mix it well and then turn off the flame.

  • Garnish it with coriander  leaves and then serve.
     


JACKFRUIT WINE







Ingredients

Jack fruit                         ----   5 kg
Sugar                               ----      3 kg
Boiled water                    ----    5 litre
Cinnamon                        ----    15 pieces
Cloves                              ----      20 nos
Wine yeast                        ----   20 gm

Preparation


  • Melt the wine yeast in a little warm water and keep it aside for one hour.

  • .
  •   Mix jack fruit pieces, sugar, boiled water, cloves and cinnamon.

  • After 2 hours add the melted wine yeast into the above mixture and stir it well.

  • .
  • Transfer it into a closed jar  and leave it for 15 days. Stir everyday using a wooden spoon. Then strain it.

  • Add egg white foam to the strained mixture  and keep it in closed jar for another 20 days.

  • Then filter and use.

    Few rose petals - grind it to make a paste.
    Milk cream  - 1tsp

    Mix it well and apply this paste on your lips. Leave it for 15 - 20 minutes. Wash it off with some milk and then wash it off with water. This removes dead skin cells from your lips and also makes your lips reddish.

  • Remedy 3

    Turmeric powder  -  1 pinch
    Lemon juice    -   1 tsp

    Mix it well. Apply this mixture on to your lips and leave for abaout 10 minutes. Then wash it off with normal water.

    1. Scrub your lips every night gently using a soft tooth brush. This helps to remove dead cells from your lips.

SAND PAINTING



It is a painting by using sand. It is a decoration to your home. We can make a variety of sand painting at low cost.

Ingredients

Canvas board
Sand
Fevicol
Fabric paint (any three colours or more)
Yellow carbon paper

Preparation
  • First draw the picture on the canvas board using yellow carbon paper.
  • If it is a plant with flowers, first apply the fevicol on the petals using a brush.
  • Then spread the sand over there.
  • After it becomes dry, again apply fevicol there. Again spread the sand. Repeat it 5 times. 
  • Then it becomes dry, use fabric paints on it.Give beautiful colours to the flowers and also give leaves as green.
  • Sand painting is ready.

  • 2tsp of curd
  • 2 eggs
  • 1\2 tsp of honey
  • 1\2 tsp of lemon juice

Application

Mix all these ingredients well and gently massage it on your hair scalp. Wait for half an hour.Then rinse it with warm water.

For Hair Glow

Wash your hair with any mild shampoo.Mix 1tbsp of honey and 3\4cup of warm water. Apply it on your hair. After 1hour rinse it well normal water.

  • 1tsp of gram flour (kadalamavu)
  • 1 tsp sandal
  • 1 tsp of milk-cream
  • 1tsp of rose water

Application

Mix all the ingredients and make it into a paste and apply it on your face. After half an hour rinse with warm water.

Honey Mask for Oily Skin

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp of honey
  • 1 tsp of egg white
  • 1tsp of curd

Application

Mix all the ingredients and make a paste. Apply it on your face. Leave it for 30 minutes. Wash with warm water.

Honey for Anti ageing

Ingredients

  • Egg white 1
  • Honey   1 tsp

Application

Apply this mixture on your face. Wait for 15 minutes. Then wash it with warm water. This pack is very useful to prevent wrinkles and other skin problems due to ageing.

Anti - tanning Honey Mask

Ingredients

  • 1\2 tsp milk powder
  • 1\2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp of honey
  • 1 tsp of Almond Oil

Application

Mix all the ingredients and make it into a paste. Apply it on your face and around the neck and leave it to dry for about 30 minutes. Rinse it with warm water an pat dry with a clean towel. This mask is very effective for protecting your skin from UV rays.

Natural Bleaching

Ingredients

  • 1tsp of honey
  • 1 1\2 tsp milk-cream
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

JACKFRUIT PRATHAMAN RECIPIE

Ingredients

Jaggery    (melted)                                                   ----  2 cups

Ripe Jack fruit flesh    (grind)                                   ----  2 cups

Chowery (cooked)                                                      ----  4 tbsp

Scraped coconut                                                       ----  3 cups

Cow's milk (boiled)                                                  ----  2 cups

Nuts and Raisins (roasted in ghee)                           ----  2 tbsp each

Coconut pieces \ Thengakothu (roasted in ghee)      ----  1 tbsp

Cradamom Powder                                                   ----  1\2 tsp

Dry Ginger Powder / chukkupodi                            ----  1\4 tsp

Preparation

Cook jackfruit pulp + cooked chowery + melted jaggery by adding enough water.

Grind the coconut by adding enough water and take the first extract (thick coconut milk) 2 cups. Then add more water and take the second extract (semi thick milk) 3 cups.

Add second extract of coconut milk to the already cooked jackfruit mixture and boil for a few minutes until the mixture becomes slight thick.  ( Stir continuously)

Then add thick coconut milk and boiled cow's milk and also add cardamom powder and dry ginger powder and turn off the flame. Do not boil after adding thick coconut milk.

Garnish it with roasted nuts, raisins and coconut bits. Cover with a lid for a few minutes. Then serve.

BASIC FIRST AID - EVERYONE SHOULD KNOW

Accidents may happen at any time.With some care ,they can be prevented. In case an accident does happen you can be of help if you know first aid. Read each of the following carefully. You will be able to give vital first aid if needed. Remember always to seek help from an adult IMMEDIATELY.

Do not move to the casualty unnecessarily.Keep him warm. Make a diagnosis, decide the treatment and treat. Remember the ABC of First Aid. See if his airways are clear, that he is breathing and his blood circulation is patent.

  • RESPIRATION
    If it is failing , give artificial respiration - MOUTH to MOUTH or MOUTH to NOSE

  • BLEEDING
    Arrest the bleeding and protect the wound. Apply direct or indirect pressure. Cover with a dressing, apply a pad and firm bandage. Elevate. Keep at rest.

  • FRACTURES
    IMMOBILIZE it with a well padded stiff support reaching the joints on either side. Apply bandages on either side of the site and at the joints on either side support.

  • BURNS AND SCALDS
    A burn is caused by dry heat and a scald by moist heat like steam, very hot water or oil. IMMEDIATELY cool the area with cold water - for 15 minutes, till pain subsides. DO NOT break blisters, or apply anything on the burns. Cover with a sterile or clean cloth, pad and bandage. Give fluids.

  • NOSE BLEEDING
    Sit him up facing the breeze and the head slightly forward.Ask him to breathe through the mouth and NOT to blow the nose.Apply a cold compress over the nose. The soft part of the nose may be pinched close with the fingers for 10 minutes. Cold application on the back of the neck and forehead may help.

  • BEE STING
    Do not press the bag (of the sting). Use forceps and remove the sting. Apply cold or weak ammonia.

  • ANIMAL BITES
    Wash with soap and plenty of water. Loose bandage may be applied. Get quick medical aid.

  • SNAKE BITES
    Keep patient calm. Wash with plenty of water and soap. DO NOT RUB hard. First apply a constrictive bandage on the heart side of the bite. (Not to be applied continuously for more than twenty minutes). Do not incise our attempt to suck the wound. Get aid quickly. Try to identify the snake.

  • FAINTING
    Lay him down and loosen the clothing around chest and waist. Turm head to one side. The legs may be raised a little. DO NOT attempt to give any solids or liquids. On recovery a small quantity of a drink may be given and allowed to sit up and move after rest.

  • CHOKING
    Hit them firmly on their back between the shoulder blades to dislodge the object.

  • GENERAL NOTE
    If you are in doubt about the treatment DO NOT DO anything. You may do more harm.

How to make Rose water

We can make rose water in the home itself. Collect some rose petals in the early morning. Wash it and put it in a vessel. Add as much water as it covers the petals, then close it with a lid and boil it in low flame. Turn off when the water gets the color of rose and then strain it. When it becomes cool, transfer it into a bottle.

Its Beauty Benefits

  • Take 2 tsp of rose water and 2 tsp of tomato juice and mix it well. Apply it on your face and also around your neck. Wait for 15 minutes and then wash. It is very useful to remove the suntan on your skin.

  • Mix 1 tsp of beetroot juice and 1 tsp of rose water . Apply it on your lips. Do it continuously for some days. After a few days your lips will begin to glow.

  • Mix 2 tbsp of olive oil and 2 tbsp of rose water and apply on your face and also around the neck. You will get more colour and shininess on your skin.

  • Take 2 tbsp of  Gram flour (kadalamavu) and mix it with a little of water to make a paste. Apply it on your face and then wash it after 15 minutes . Then dip a cotton in the rose water and rub it on your face. After 5 minutes wash it with water . Gram flour cleans your face and rose water helps to close the pores and thus gives more shining on your skin.

HOW TO MAKE NATURAL SKIN CLEANSERS - HOME MADE

  1. Honey and Nutmeg Scar Remover

    Honey and nutmeg scar remover can easily be made at home. For this, combine 1 tsp of nutmeg and 1 tsp of honey and mix them well together. Then apply it on your face and leave for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes wash it with cool water . Use it twice a week.

  2. Lemon face cleanser

    Blackheads can easily be removed by using lemon . Cut the lemon into half and remove the seeds. Take one half and rub it directly on your face before going to bed. Then clean your face using cool water.

    You can also mix lemon juice with 2 tbsp of rose water. Then apply it on your face. This mixture will be more fragrant.

  3. Papaya Cleanser

    Take some ripened papaya paste and apply directly to your face or any other part of your skin. Leave it for 15 minutes.Then rinse your face with warm water. Dry your face with a clean towel.   1. Love your family

    Love your family that is the most important one. Then work. It is pretty impossible to balance these two without the help of a supportive partner. One day we all retire, or sell our business or leave our job.our kids will grow up and move on ... but our partner will hopefully be always with us. It is much easier to achieve family - work balance if you have a true emotional intimacy with your partner. Make sure you eat at least one meal a day together with your family and also pray together. This will surely lead you to success. Always be happy and cherish your home time.

  2. Love your job

    No matter how perfect you do your job, you may not always be rewarded or appreciated for the work you done. Always make a positive attitude towards your work, then you can make your life more pleasant and productive. Try to do some voluntary work to gain a broader outlook. Do not get distracted by worrying about all the other things to be done. Decide if there is anything that can be delegated. Always keep in mind - do it, dump it or delegate it. Learn to have more fun at work. Laugh more. Perform with a more fun oriented approach. If you truly enjoy your work, it gives you personal balance. If you hate what you do and can't find any pleasure in it, it will cause stress. For example, if your child is very sick and you have to go to the office, here better to choose to stay with your child because it is more important than a regular day at work. In contrast, a scheduled meeting in the office is more important than a day at the park. You should decide only what is needed to nurture your work and family. Don't get frustrated when a work obligation conflicts with a family commitment. Do which should take precedence by determining the importance of each and then learn from the experience.

  4. Stay healthy

    A good health is essential to balance work and family life. Eat well, sleep well and exercise helps you to make healthy. Eat healthy foods. Avoid junk foods. Body and brain can't function properly, efficiently or effectively unless it doesn't get enough sleep. Utilize exercise for a much better mental and physical health. Exercising allows you the opportunity to break the monotony of sitting at a desk for a long time.It can also reduce stress, sharpen focus, improves mood and also increases energy. You just have to schedule it into your day. If you feel great, everyone around you will benefit.

  5. Reward yourself

    Review your day before you leave for home. Look at what worked well and what could be improved the next day. If you really satisfied with the day's work , then reward yourself. You deserve it.

  6. Practice good time management

    Manage your time very effectively. It means making clear boundaries of what is work time and what is family or home time or leisure time or friendship time. Maintaining these boundaries is a challenge but having no boundaries at all make you too scattered to be effective in any of your pursuits. Take total control of your day. 

  7. Seek for help

    It is not easy to do all the things by yourself. Don't be embarrassed to ask for help. We are all in the same boat - getting a little help with simple tasks from your partner or from your co - worker, will allow you the time to get more important items to be completed. Even the wisest men know what they can be able to do themselves and when to seek help from others. Co - operate with others to get things done and reinforce your own support system.This will help to generate more business income as well as to have a good atmosphere in the family also.

  8. Proper scheduling

    It is an important aspect to maintain work - family life balance. It is very good to have a daily schedule of all the activities to be done in both office and home. It promotes the practice of being prepared and punctual. You not only prepare the schedule but also keep an eye on that schedule .Always check whether you are following that schedule.

  9. Be a great communicator

    Make sure to explain clearly to your family and to your co - worker. If they get what you are trying to say, then they will easily be able to respond appropriately and get solved what you need to get solved. No one can interpret your mind and it takes too much time for others to understand what you are thinking instead of you just saying it.

  10. Put the cell phone down when you get home

    Utilize the most of your time when you are at work also and utilize the most of your time with your family and your self also when you are at home. Concentrate and be a protector of your valuable family time. It is good to tell your customer or co - workers or employers that they can wait to talk to you till next morning.

  11. Take holidays and weekends

    Enjoy your weekends and holidays to the maximum and make it a memorable one. During weekends , take your family for an outing or a cinema or whatever may be. Give importance to their choices.

  12. Learn when to say yes and when to say no

    Learn ways to set priorities on the things that matter most and also to say no to the things that matter least.

  13. Switch off once you leave work

    When you leave the office, leave the office tensions there.Don't bring that tensions to home.Your office tension should not become a punishment for your family. Sit and talk to your family as much as you can.

SUMMER SEASON : LIFE IS NOT EASY -- COOL TIPS TO OVERCOME



Summer season ! Its horrible.We should be more alert during summer season and also we should take some special care to prevent diseases like dehydration and many such diseases.

Here are some precautionary steps to take this summer season :-

  1. Drink too much water - minimum 10 - 12 glasses of water a day.Also have health drinks or fresh juices.It is very good to include lemon in your daily diet.

  2. Use proper sunscreen lotions when we are going out to avoid sunstroke.

  3. Use sunglasses as it protects our eyes from sun rays.

  4. Eat lots of fruits such as orange, water melon, papaya, banana, grapes, mango etc but to a certain limit otherwise it results acidity related problems.

  5. Try to include green salads which contains more onions, cucumbers and other vegetables. Don't allow your stomach get empty and also avoid oily, non - veg and spicy foods.

  6. It is good to eat curd in summer season.

  7. Have 1 glass of buttermilk with your meal, it gives you cooling effect.

  8. Take an umbrella and a bottle of water wherever you go during summer season.Try to always cover your head and face or wear a hat.

  9. Use only free size and light colour cotton cotton clothes to help you stay cooler.

  10. Keep always clean your feet, underarms and face. Change your dress and inner wears regularly in order to prevent infection. Also apply antiseptic talcum powder.

  11. Don't take bath at late afternoon only take bath in the morning and evening. Wash your eyes and face many times as possible.

  12. It harms you  a lot if you drink chilled water when you come back from the hot sun.Always keep a mud pot and drink water from that pot during summer.To keep the water in the pot always cool,cover it with a wet towel.
  13. Plant some shady trees near your home and office.

  14. Try to avoid working continuously under direct sunlight.

  15. Get up early in the morning and sleep early.

  16. Beware of diseases such as Dengue fever, Bronchiolitis, Pneumonia,Cold, Jaundice, Hepatitis A etc are very common in the summer.Make sure that we should drink only boiled water,eat only well cooked food ,eat raw fruits and vegetables as it washed and peeled properly especially during journey. Thus we can protect us from these diseases to a great extent.

  17. Remember infants and toddlers become dehydrated much more easily than adults,so make sure that they get enough of liquids.

  18. Drinking 4 coconuts  a week makes your skin glow and shine.

  19. Keep a handful of rose or jasmine petals ,dipped it in a glass of water and keep it in the fridge.When you feels that your skin becomes dull or dry , dip a cotton in that water and rub your face and neck with it .This gives freshness and relaxation to your skin.

Also massage your scalp with your fingertips daily for 5-10 minutes to improve circulation.

  6. Keep hydrated

    Control the use of caffeine and alcohol and drink too much water. Also check how much fried, spicy and acidic foods you eat as it dehydrate your body and also reduce moisture.Dehydration and lack of moisture prevents nutrients from reaching hair follicles which results grey hair.

  7. Adequate sleep

Home Remedies

There are a few home remedies from Ayurveda which can help to control premature graying.

  1. Indian gooseberry paste

    Apply on scalp and leave it for 15-20 minutes. Then wash your hair with normal water.It can not only reduces graying of hair but also improves the quality of your hair.

  2. Coconut oil and curry leaves

    3 tbsp of coconut oil and crushed curry leaves - heat it for 5-7 minutes. Then strain the mixture.Cool till lukewarm. Then massage it on your scalp.

  3. Lemon juice and almond oil

    Take 1 tsp lemon juice and 2 tsp almond oil and mix it well.Massage gently on your scalp.Massage with warm mustard or coconut oil.It also helps to prevent premature graying.
